Hello!

​

My name is Atiya.  I am a video editor and colorist based in Chicago, IL. 

I am a graduate of DePaul University; having received my BFA in Film and Television, with a concentration in video editing. This website serves as my editing and colorist portfolio. 

​

I've worked on documentaries, narrative short films, experimental films, acting reels, book trailers,  and more. I also do video editing projects for non-profits to help organizations with marketing and awareness purposes.

 

Through consistently taking on video projects, I am constantly challenging myself, and refining my skillset.

 

I love learning new facets to post production, and sharing my knowledge and skills with other filmmakers.

My current services include: video editing, color correction/ color grading, and motion graphics.  I am also open to assisting post production teams with script conforming, research, and working as an assistant editor, DIT or color assistant.

It is very important to me that the majority of my work reflects and empowers marginalized identities. I strive to center women, Black, Brown, and LGBTQAI+ identities in my work.
